Plush Decay means dying with fullness.
Plush Decay is a collaborative photography series focused on the tension between death and vibrancy, between rot and glamour, between mundanity and absurdity. A growing project started by Blasted Ellipses, she employs as many different patterns as possible, as well as working with talent from all over the city.
This installment, of January 2017, was shot in Heidi Witz’s studio, located on Farwell in between Landmark Lanes and Cutting Group. As well as designing her own clothes, Heidi is also a creative partner to Reginald Baylor, whose work covers the walls, providing incredible backdrops for our models. Ann Tique - better known as Annie’s Vintage Clothing and Rarities - is housed in Heidi’s studio too, with a great selection of her vintage treasures. Our models are wearing some of her pieces as well as some thrift stores finds.
